Over the course of this 1/2-day scanning workshop, you'll learn to scan, scan and scan some more.
Injecting is great, but you have to be able to find your target before you can inject it!
2 STREAMS AVAILABLE
You will scan each other - but no injections will be practiced and no cadaver lab is included.*
STREAM 1
This is for you if you are:
a) a relative beginner to MSK Ultrasound
Shoulder Bursitis, Shoulder Arthritis, Elbow Arthritis, Knee Arthritis, Hip Arthritis, Ankle Arthritis
STREAM 2
This is for you if you:
a) have more than 50 ultasound-guided injections under your belt (any targets at all)
b) and are very comfortable scanning and injecting all of the Stream 1 targets listed above.

Lateral & Medial Elbow Tendonitis, Elbow Arthritis, De Quervain’s, Thumb Arthritis (CMC & MCP)

This event is for the team physician interested in using sideline ultrasound scanning to make important Return-to-Play decisions following an in-game injury.

Scenario 1: Shoulder
Your athlete feels a pop in their shoulder.
(A) Shoulder effusion/hemarthrosis YES/NO

(C) Clavicle (ACJ/SCJ) fracture YES/NO
Scenario 2: Elbow
Your athlete feels a pop in their elbow.
(A) Elbow effusion/hemarthrosis YES/NO
(B) Radial Head fracture YES/NO
Scenario 3: Wrist
Your athlete does a FOOSH.
(A) Wrist Effusion/hemarthrosis YES/NO
(B) Distal Radius Fracture YES/NO
Scenario 4: Thigh / Calf
Your athlete feels a pull in a large muscle.
(A) Rectus Femoris Tear YES/NO
