Most courses charge > $2000 USD, just to make you patiently wait your turn (or fight) to get access to a machine that is "shared" between 4 or 5 people.
NOT OUR COURSES!
Our courses have 2 machines for every 3 people.
Many courses force you to watch a guru EXPLAIN ultrasound scanning with slides.
Then you barely get to practice the skills before it's time for more slides.
NOT OUR COURSES!
Our courses are 70% scanning practice.
Many courses are so big you can't see the instructor give the scanning demonstrations.
NOT OUR COURSES!
Our courses are between 4 and 12 people.
Our courses prepare doctors to perform the most common injections and to use the most common products, such as Visosupplements and Cortisone. We also introduce the concepts of where and when to use regenative products like Prolotherapy and P.R.P.
Our courses are taught be instructors who have many years of experience in Prolotherapy and P.R.P. Injections and are eager to teach these exciting new techniques.
Our Sport Medicine Ultrasound Course is designed to help you scan proficiently, recognize pathology and inject cortisone, trigger points, prolotherapy, or PRP.
The bottom line? The better you scan, the better you inject.
Our courses focus on repetition, repetition, repetition so you leave the weekend actually having LEARNED the skill yourself, not just having seen someone else scan!

I believe there is a need for young physicians to have a comprehensive Continuing Education program to learn the fundamentals.
I believe our 100, 200 and 300 Level Courses can help fill that need. MSK ultrasound is the future of our specialty. I truly believe we can deliver a better service to our patients if we can dedicate ourselves to mastering this powerful skill.

I finally found an excellent Ultrasound training program in the UK. I spent the
summer of 2017 flying to London seven times for the program but it was worth every penny!
By using the formula I learned overseas, you can radically accelerate your learning... but it takes desire, and dedication.

Over the course of my 7 years in independent practice, I had begun to realize that there were, and still are, significant gaps in the care we as orthopaedic surgeons provide to patients with non-operative MSK problems. With this in mind, and having taken on the role of physician lead for a major change project to improve access to orthopaedic care in Northern BC, I began exploring options to increase our capacity to help patients with non-operative MSK problems.
In the fall of 2020, I did my first 2 courses with SMUC and very quickly realized the potential for US injections to help bridge the gap in care for our patients with non-operative MSK problems.
Within weeks of completing the course, I had bought an US machine, and began expanding my non-operative orthopaedic practice. Now looking to share this incredible tool with more orthopaedic surgeons, I am excited to be a part of the SMUC team in developing and delivering a new course specifically tailored to the needs of orthopaedic surgeons and our patients!
